We are at the Backstage O’Sullivan for the concerts of Cellar Darling and Kassogtha, two very different groups eagerly awaited by the public of the day.
When we arrived, the room was already full.
7:30 p.m. start of Kassoghta concert
Stephany Hugnin and her musicians arrive on stage for a powerful start to the evening. The group offers us a death metal universe, with Stephany who growls or has a more melodic voice, depending on the title of the song. The fans of the group responded present, and are unleashed in the middle of the room.
In the list of titles played, some new features for the pleasure of the public. Maybe a new album soon?
Stephany also offers us a cover of Pink Floyd, in growl mode and soft voice, very well sung. It’s not given to everyone to make beautiful covers of this legendary group. The concert ends to make way for Cellar Darling. A nice moment that delighted the public and the fans.
KASSOGTHA, 17/04/2022 Backstage O’Sullivan
8:45 p.m. Cellar Darling takes the stage
After a change of stage, it’s time to welcome Cellar Darling, with the beautiful Anna Murphy, previously singer of Eleuveitie. We find her with her own group to sing us her songs accompanied by her musicians: Merlin Sutter and Ivo Henzi.
Despite a slightly better light than for Kassoghta, I found that the atmosphere lacked warmth. Shame. The photos will not be the best, for this evening. The lack of light.
The set list starts with Pain, followed by the title: Death. The titles follow one another, and Anna’s voice captivates the audience. At times she is accompanied by her keyboard or her transverse flute depending on the title, and also by her hurdy-gurdy, it’s always surprising to hear the sound that comes out of it.
Merlin, meanwhile, struggles to get the audience moving. A mastered show, and a large audience, conquered. A beautiful evening to the sound of folk-metal.

On se retrouve au Backstage O’Sullivan pour les concerts de Cellar Darling et Kassogtha, deux groupes bien différents et très attendus par le public du jour.
A notre arrivée, la salle est déjà bien remplie.
19:30, début du concert de Kassoghta
Stephany Hugnin et ses musiciens arrivent sur scène pour un début de soirée tout en puissance. Le groupe nous propose un univers death metal, avec Stephany qui growle ou a une voix plus mélodique, selon le titre de la chanson. Les fans du groupe ont répondu présent et sont déchainés au milieu de la salle.
Dans la liste des titres joués, quelques nouveautés pour le plaisir du public. Peut-être un nouvel album bientôt ?
Stephany nous offre également une reprise de Pink Floyd, en mode growl et voix douce, très bien chanté. Ce n’est pas donné à tout le monde de faire de belles reprises de ce groupe de légende. Le concert se finit pour laisser place à Cellar Darling. Un moment sympa qui a ravi le public et les fans.
20:45, Cellar Darling entre en scène
Après changement de plateau, il est temps d’accueillir Cellar Darling, avec la belle Anna Murphy, précédemment chanteuse d’Eleuveitie. On la retrouve avec son propre groupe pour nous chanter ses chansons accompagnée de ses musiciens : Merlin Sutter et Ivo Henzi.
Malgré une lumière un peu meilleure que pour Kassoghta, j’ai trouvée que l’ambiance manquait de chaleur. Dommage. Les photos ne seront pas les meilleures, pour cette soirée. Le manque de lumière.
La set list démarre avec Pain, suivi du titre : Death. Les titres s’enchainent, et la voix de Anna envoute le public. Par moment elle s’accompagne de son clavier ou de sa flute traversière selon le titre, et aussi de sa vielle à roue, c’est toujours surprenant d’entendre le son qui en sort.
Merlin, quant à lui, se démène pour faire bouger le public. Un show maitrisé et un public, venu nombreux, conquis. Une belle soirée au son du folk-metal.
Un grand merci à Garmonbozia, Cellar Darling, Kassoghta et la salle du Backstage O’Sullivan pour cette soirée.
